Frequently Asked Questions
The start date for the course is Thursday 1st September 2022.
Once we have received your enrolment fee we will register you with our chosen occupational health provider, Corazon who will contact you to initiate your fitness to train check.
Instructions on how to complete this will be included in the enrolment email which we send to you in May/June time and the fee for the check is included in your enrolment fee. You will have already provided us with ID documentation but as some forms of ID e.g. bank statement needed to be dated within the last 3 months prior to the check we may need to request further ID from you. If this is the case we will email you directly to let you know exactly what we need.
If you are signed up to the DBS update service then you will need to provide us with a copy of your DBS certificate so that we can check that it is at the correct level and has all the checks that we require. If your certificate is appropriate then you will not have to pay for another DBS check. Please provide us with a copy of your certificate prior to paying your enrolment fee as this enables us to advise you on the correct amount for you to pay.
No, we will arrange all placements that you undertake as part of the course.
A number of factors are taken into consideration when allocating you to your schools, for example the cluster you belong to, childcare, unable to drive, you were a pupil at a specific school in the past, your child/children go to the school, a partner and/or family work in the school. You will receive an email around half term in the summer term to ask you to complete an online form to collect this information which is then used to find a ‘best fit’ from the offers we have received from schools.
Schools offer places in the first half of the summer term. You will be informed about the school in which you have been placed after half term in the summer term, once you have completed the online form giving us any key information about your circumstances.
